Pregnancy Pilates

New for 2018!

Safe Pilates exercise routines for all three trimesters. If you are planning on having a baby, currently pregnant or have recently given birth then these classes are ideal for you!

The classes will start on Monday 12th February 2018 at Coneyhill Studio, Bridge of Allan.

Day/Time:- Monday 8pm – 8.55pm

Cost:- £65 for 6 classes / £120 for 12 classes / Drop in £12

Places are limited to 8. To guarantee your space a 10% deposit is required.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF DOING PILATES DURING PREGNANCY?

By doing Pilates during pregnancy, you can provide the best physical and emotional environment for you and your baby. It will not only help during the delivery process via our meditation breathing techniques but will help you recover more quickly afterwards.

As a woman’s body changes shape during pregnancy it’s important that good posture is maintained pre and post natal. This reduces stress and strain on the muscles and joints, improves blood supply and will help combat back pain. The classes will also teach exercise do’s and dont’s to recover those tummy muscles.

We will be using small Pilates Balls, and resistance bands and loops. All equipment provided. The studio in Bridge of Allan provides the ideal calm environment to help you relax and enjoy Pregnancy Pilates.

Pilates Classes

Location:- Bridge of Allan Sports Club

Classes resume on Tuesday 9th January 2018 

Tues Morning – 09.45am to 10.45am / Tues Evening – 7.30pm to 8.30pm

All classes run as six week blocks. You can come to a morning or evening class which is ideal if you miss your normal class. Classes suitable for all fitness levels.

What to wear?

Loose, stretchy, comfortable clothing. As Pilates is done in either our bare feet or socks, you don’t need to worry about trainers. You may wish to bring along a small hand towel and some water. Bring a mat if you have one, we always have a couple of spare ones just in case.

Private Classes

If you want a bit of “me time,” can’t manage group classes or need a more specialised class for specific spinal/muscular disorders then a Private Pilates Class is ideal for you.

You’ll get your own tailor made programme which you will work on during each class. You’ll also be emailed videos of your workout describing the exercise routines.

Private Pilates Classes are available either:-

  • in our Stirling Studio
  • in the comfort of you own home
  • or via Skype

Jacquie Robertson

I always loved going to fitness classes and am old enough to remember those awful leotards and headbands from Aerobics Classes in the 1980’s! It was my love of fitness that made me decide to make the leap of faith and become a fitness teacher. Initially training as a Callanetics Teacher, my journey led me to becoming a Pilates Teacher. I’ve been teaching classes since 2006. 2018 sees me crossing the bridge to becoming a Level 3 Teacher Trainer and training the Pilates teachers of the future.

I teach Pilates at Gleneagles Hotel and Bridge of Allan Sports Club. Rehab and 1 to 1 clients come along to my home studio.

An Honours Design Graduate from the Glasgow School of Art, I ran my own Graphic Design company working with key clients such as Ineos and SEPA.
