Pilates Classes

Location:- Bridge of Allan Sports Club

  • 19th Sept – 24th Oct
  • 31st Oct – 5th Dec

Tuesday Morning – 09.45am to 10.45am

Tuesday Evening – 7.30pm to 8.30pm

Classes run as 6 week blocks – progressing the levels every week. Each class takes you through the fundamentals of Pilates. As you progress, developments and/or modifications will be added to your workout. Upon completion, we move onto the next block.

You can come to a morning or evening class which is ideal if you miss your normal class. Club members are entitled to a discounted rate. Classes suitable for all fitness levels.

Blocks can be purchased as either 4 or 6 week blocks (classes must be taken each week). Click here for our fees.

What to wear

Loose, stretchy, comfortable clothing. As Pilates is done in either our bare feet or socks, you don’t need to worry about trainers. You may wish to bring along a small hand towel and some water. Bring a mat if you have one, we always have a couple of spare ones just in case.

Private Classes

If you want a bit of “me time,” can’t manage group classes or need a more specialised class for specific spinal/muscular disorders then a Private Pilates Class is ideal for you.

You’ll get your own tailor made programme which you will work on during each class. You’ll also be emailed videos of your workout describing the exercise routines.

Private Pilates Classes are available either:-

  • in our Stirling Studio
  • in the comfort of you own home
  • or via Skype

Pilates for Pregnancy

New for Autumn 2017!

If you are planning on having a baby, currently pregnant or have recently given birth then these classes are ideal for you. The classes will cover pre-conception, nutrition, mindset, meditation and give structured, safe exercise routines for all three trimesters.

THE BENEFITS OF DOING PILATES DURING PREGNANCY

By doing Pilates during pregnancy, a mother can provide the best physical and emotional environment for themselves and for their baby. It will not only help during the delivery process via our meditation techniques but will help mum recover more quickly afterwards.

As a woman’s body changes shape during pregnancy it’s important that good posture is maintained pre and post natal. This reduces stress and strain on the muscles and joints, improves blood supply and will help combat back pain.

The classes will also cover how to detect Diastasis Recti (Diastasis means separation. Recti means the Rectus Abdominus) and will teach exercise do’s and don’ts to recover those tummy muscles.

The classes will run in the Stirling and surrounding area and will launch in the Autumn. Dates and venues to be confirmed soon.

A former graduate from Glasgow School of Art, with a solid background in Graphic Design, I’ve been working in the Health and Fitness industry for over 10 years. When I’m not teaching classes I’m usually at the gym or working on my new online courses.

Private classes are taught from my home based “boutique” studio in Stirling.

On Monday and Friday mornings I’m based at Gleneagles Hotel where I teach Pilates to the club members and hotel guests.
